Reporting to the Director of the Institute, this role includes creating content for print and digital media, managing the institute's branding efforts, maintaining internal communications schedules, supporting faculty with communication materials, and managing social media presence.Content Creation and Management:+ Leads or assists in producing print materials, images, videos, podcasts, digital media or other creative content for the Institute and its programs.+ Writes press releases, newsletter articles, and interview-based articles.+ Designs publications, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and other materials in various formats.+ Provides photography support for Institute events.+ Provides support to other FSI stakeholders for print materials and other communications/marketing requests.Branding and Marketing:+ Assist in the Department’s branding efforts.+ Conducts training in social media and other communications topics for faculty, staff, and students.+ Assists in branding and marketing strategies, collaborating with internal marketing and communication professionals and/or external marketing firms.+ Maintains a schedule for internal communications, such as atrium and building print and digital display content.+ Develops and participates in recruiting events and collaborates with appropriate staff to market and promote FSI.+ Enhances online content and marketing analytics, considering SEO and Google Analytics.+ Coordinate with HWCOE Marketing and Communications team to ensure that branding and messaging align with University standards.Social Media and Public Relations:+ Oversees the creation, editing, interviewing, marketing, and success of the institute’s social media platforms, which may include short posts, image reels, videos, podcasts or other content.+ Manages the Department’s social media presence and analyzes trends and audience data.+ Organizes and develops targeted social campaigns for topics or events.+ Establishes information and public relations campaigns to facilitate information dissemination across UF and nationally.+ Tracks, reports, and communicates project outcomes to various stakeholders.+ Interfaces with a broad array of FSI stakeholders (industry, workforce development professionals, university personnel, government officials) to understand and respond to marketing and communication needs.Other Assigned Duties:+ Assists with the Institute events.+ Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the institute director and higher authorities.+ Attends staff and one-on-one supervision meetings to communicate with colleagues and supervisors.+ Participates in department(s), college, and university-wide committees and other joint ventures to advance the student experience.Expected Salary:$53,000 - $60,000; commensurate with qualifications and experienceMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:+ Understands and follows Associated Press Style Guidelines.+ Knowledge of university policies and procedures.+ Experience with WordPress.+ Experience with MailChimp.+ Experience with the Adobe Suite.+ Experience in social media, graphic design, newsletter development, and press releases.+ Demonstrated knowledge of website management and design.+ Strong commitment to client satisfaction, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.+ Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.+ Ability to meet tight deadlines and generate high quality outputs while balancing multiple responsibilities.+ Ability to work well in a team environment, be flexible and accountable, manage conflicting responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.+ Self-motivated and capable of working independently.Special Instructions to Applicants:In order to be considered for this position, applicants must upload a cover letter and resume with application.We offer flexible work arrangements such as hybrid remote work locations and/or schedules that fall outside of a unit’s usual working hours.This is a time-limited position.Application must be submitted by 11:55 p.m. (ET) of the posting end date.Health Assessment Required:NoAdvertised: 26 Jun 2024 Eastern Daylight TimeApplications close: 10 Jul 2024 Eastern Daylight Time
