We are in search of an experienced and professional individual to join our team as a Senior Marketing Manager to develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet The Kansas City Power & Light District’s objectives and effectively manage the marketing, advertising and promotional activities of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities (Includes, but not limited to):

Oversee all brand and marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive traffic and increase sales at KC Live! Block and Live! venues, including The Gallery and private events• Collaborate with KC Live! Directors of Operations and Entertainment to develop a calendar of events and initiatives that drive traffic and increase sales at KC Live! Block and Live! venues• Develop and manage marketing budgets for KC Live! Block events and initiatives• Oversees external and internal communications for KC Live! Block and Live! venues• Create and manage dynamic marketing campaigns for all KC Live! events; including festivals, concerts, bar crawls, etc.• Oversee and manage email marketing program, social media, and website presence for KC Live! Block and Live! venues• Use analytics tools and dashboards to monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance• Serve as the liaison between the KC Live! block and the district for all marketing, promotions and events; ensuring communication is complete and thorough, as well as providing marketing direction at the venue level for Power & Light District initiatives• Work collaboratively with the Kansas City Power & Light District Director of Marketing to leverage district marketing assets to support of KC Live! and Live! venue initiatives• Oversee lead generation efforts for KC Live! Block and Live! venues• Collaborate with Partnerships team to develop and execute promotional content and event activations for partners and sponsors• Build relationships with key partners, stakeholders, local teams, and more to cross-promote KC Live! and its venues• Assist with KC Live! and Live! venue press releases and media events / opportunities

Skills

• Possess a broad understanding of marketing projects ranging from branding work, campaign development, production projects and digital initiatives to reporting and strategy• Strong understanding of marketing industry trends, issues and emerging technology.• Experience in the development and management of marketing, advertising, lead generation, and lead nurturing initiatives.• Outstanding presentation skills to deliver to clients, on-site teams and other audiences.• Strong organization, detail orientation, initiative, decision making, sense of urgency, collaboration and communication skills.• Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.• The ability to function professionally under pressure, while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.• Proven competencies in software applications and programs, particularly Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook. Excellent word processing and file management skills.• Good working knowledge of office equipment and procedures including computers, photocopiers, printers, fax machines, mailing equipment, telephone systems, filing systems, etc.
