Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Web & Social Media Designer to join our team. In this role, you will create innovative, effective website designs and social media graphics for our customers. Taking each project from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is able to turn abstract concepts into clean and intuitive designs. If you have an eye for design and are a designer of everything digital (websites, social media, email marketing, etc.) with a portfolio of successful projects, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing…
Design and produce content that follows the appropriate brand, aesthetic, and marketing strategy, whether for a client or our internal projects. This includes websites, social media graphics, advertising campaigns, website banners, email templates, product graphics, and promotional artwork. Working closely with our Digital Marketing Specialist and Creative Director, strategizing, marketing plans, content schedules, trends and maximizing ROI.
Web Design and Development:
Design and create then implement website designs from concept to development in collaboration with the creative director and our web developer.
Design, code, and maintain WordPress sites for clients and internal use.
Manage all stages of the design process, from design brief to post-launch testing
Create clean and user-friendly website designs
Develop mood boards, site maps, wireframes, and user flows
Create mock-up designs to present to key stakeholders
Test and iterate on design concepts
Develop design guidelines and standards
Social Media and Digital Advertising:
Design and create social media content, write captions, schedule and manage clients’ and internal social media accounts.
In collaboration with our Digital Marketing Specialist, analyze performance metrics to improve engagement and reach
Design digital ads for platforms such as Google and Facebook
Develop HTML email marketing campaigns, including content creation and implementation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
3-5+ years in graphic and web design, with experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment
A strong portfolio of responsive, successful website designs, social media graphics, and email marketing. Please send a link when you apply. We won't reply to applications without a portfolio URL.
Skilled in creating wireframes and storyboards using Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools
Understanding of UX/UI (user experience/user interface) design
Experience developing your creative designs into final WordPress websites
Knowledge of SEO (search engine optimization)
Experience in front-end development languages including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Creative coder, showing clever solutions to difficult problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, but also collaborate and effectively communicate with internal team members and clients
It Would Be Nice If You Have...
Been directly involved in designing, creating, and scheduling social media on a daily basis
Experience with any of the following systems: HubSpot, Shopify, SocialPilot
Familiarity with customizing social media channels
