SEO Specialist- Marketing

Position Summary:
The SEO Specialist-Marketing is responsible for implementing and overseeing digital marketing strategies that advance an organization's mission by reaching a broad audience and attaining greater exposure. The results of their efforts include increased website, social and online conversions, website exposure, customer engagement and community interest and involvement. In addition, this position will use web technologies to achieve business growth goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming.
Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
Develop and implement link building strategy.
Update and maintain website content.
Monitor website performance and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with design and development teams to improve website functionality.
Implement and monitor website analytics to track performance.
Manage website security and ensure data protection measures are in place.
Conduct use testing and gather feedback for website improvements.
Implement conversion rate optimization strategies.
Research and implement new technologies to enhance website functionality.
Requirements for Education and/or Experience:
3+ years experience as an SEO and website specialist
Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Can manage multiple projects at one time.
Enjoys analyzing data and making changes based off that.
Attention to detail to maintain integrity of the website.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Proven SEO experience.
WordPress experience required.
In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Omniture, WebTrends)
Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO
Demonstrate the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Speak, write, and communicate fluently in both English and Spanish a plus.
High level of written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent organizational and detail oriented skills.
