Mid-Level Network Designer
to join the team in either
Berkeley, MO

Hazelwood, MO
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) business organization. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with IT Business Success Leaders and BDS stakeholders to implement and maintain communications and network systems enabling the BDS business to meet their organizational and program goals.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads Network Design, equipment procurement, equipment configuration and installation, cable and wire design and implementation, network break-fix, security plan integration, equipment decommission and surplus, capital/expense planning to ensure that the programs have a secure communications network to perform program development and execution In support of program customerSupports hardware and software to Secure Network, Secure Voice and other non-standard system integrationSupports to security activities such as United States (US) government Risk Management Framework (RMF) Compliance, Security Evaluation Checklists, device sanitization, contamination cleanup, and support to the management of System Security PlansDevelops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders and peersExercises critical thinking and innovative problem solvingActs as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the teamTriages and de-escalates issues with impacted partiesTravels to remote sites required (approx. 10%)Develops and executes project and process plans and implements policies and proceduresDemonstrates the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable wayThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options .
This position requires an active
U.S. Secret
Security Clearance
(U.S. Citizenship Required).
(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations3+ years of experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocolsCurrent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher)Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementationsWilling to cover on call shifts, including weekends and after hoursPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco CertificationExperience with COMSEC encryption devicesExperience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systemsExperience with Arista CloudVisionTypical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
