The Senior Demin Designer will be responsible for creating product designs that are both cost-effective and innovative.
Responsibilities
Sets overall direction in Trend and Innovation for Women's DenimFully responsible for all aspects of entire product design process to include market research, designing, sketching, wash range, specing and fit.Responsible for managing and providing creative direction to design teamNeeds to have strong relationship with cross functional teams to help create the line. Working hand and hand with PD and Merch partners to ensure seasonal line creation is smooth.Fully responsible for ensuring that product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy; interprets international/domestic concepts and fashion trends as it relates to market demands, company image and business strategy.Oversee selection of fabric and trim.Research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories and competitive inspirationProvides overall recommendations, sets tone regarding style, and fit of product(s) during presentation.Ensures consistency of look between differing businesses (e.g., Woven bottoms and Woven tops).Develop strong internal cross functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, and technical design to ensure product concept to store and site execution is a seamless customer experience.Possess an elevated sense of style, aesthetic, and color and understand how to translate trends through the lens of the customer and brand filterAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the ability to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track development deadlinesQualifications
Strong knowledge of Denim fabrics and wash capabilitiesCurrent on technology trend within the Denim landscape7-10 years of design experienceMinimum 4 years of management experienceExtensive Technical Performance knowledgeExcellent leadership/management skillsAbility to set overall creative tone and lead creative design processExcellent sense of style and colorProven excellent presentation skillsAbility to deal with managerial issuesAA in Fashion Design or EquivalentIn-depth knowledge of Denim techniques and processes

ADDITIONAL DATA:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $108,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
