The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and innovative Designer, Print and Pattern to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a creative professional who specializes in print and graphics design for women's apparel and accessories.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop original print and pattern designs for our women's apparel and accessories line- Create seasonal print and pattern collections that align with our brand aesthetic and current fashion trends- Manage the design process from concept to completion, including creating mood boards, sketches, and digital designs- Collaborate with the broader design team to incorporate prints and patterns into garment designs- Work closely with Design and Production teams to ensure successful execution of print and pattern designs- Research and stay updated on emerging trends in print and pattern design within the fashion industry- Maintain a library of print and pattern designs, ensuring proper organization and accessibility- Provide technical specifications for print and pattern production, including colorways, repeat sizes, and production methods- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback on prototypes and samples

Daily Tasks

- Create and refine print and pattern designs using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)- Develop color palettes and colorways for prints and patterns- Prepare and distribute technical packs for print and pattern production- Review and comment on strike-offs, lab dips, and prototypes- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure print and pattern designs meet production requirements and timelines- Research and analyze market trends in print and pattern design

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field- 3-5 years of experience in print and pattern design for apparel, preferably in women's contemporary fashion- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop- Strong understanding of textile printing techniques and production processes- Excellent color sense and ability to create cohesive color palettes- Knowledge of current fashion trends and ability to forecast future trends- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of print and pattern designs- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
