As the Associate Product Designer in our Plush division, you'll have the chance to work with Squishmallows, one of the most popular and exciting plush brands in the industry! You'll use your creative skills to design and develop plush characters and toys that perfectly align with the brand's strategies and objectives. What you will do:

Be instrumental in generating new toy concepts to enhance new and/or existing brandsExhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding of the competitive marketplace in the toy industryChampion great design in our high-quality products and help ensure they are within target cost and QA/QC requirementsBuilds consensus between members throughout the design processBe adaptable to shifting priorities and be vigilant to keep your projects moving forward to hit deadlinesWork collaboratively with your branding, product management, engineering, packaging, licensor, and other internal team partners to create a product that is the best fit for the brandAttend Brand and licensing meetings and brainstorming to obtain enough information for product designSuccessfully prepare, present, and communicate concepts to the brand, development, management, and licensor teamsEnsure delivery of precise, clear, and complete product turnover specifications and ensure they fully understood by the international team/factorySupport the overall strategic goals of the product, provide direction and feedback during the development process that is attentive to the Licensor and for brand assuranceResponsible for completing, reviewing, documenting specification changes, submitting for licensor approval, and providing comments for illustrative turns, sculpts, paintmasters, and sample reviewsWork closely with brand/management teams to resolve development issues, while assuring designs meet the target cost, schedule, and brand standardsCommunicate with the packaging design team to ensure product and packaging are alignedManages People:

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree in toy design, industrial design, industrial engineering, or industry-relevant field preffered1-3 years of relevant experience toy product design experience, ideally with plush1-3 years of experience working with global manufacturing factories (Asia preferred)Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)Strong, visual-verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of 3D Modeling, Sculpting, and Rendering is a plusKnowledge of materials and multiple manufacturing processesKnowledge of working with Asia factoriesKnowledge of working with licensed brandsDemonstrate a strong design sense and problem-solving skillsProactively observes and gains an understanding of the competitive marketplace including current trends and innovationDetail-oriented and a well-developed sense of aestheticsAbility to manage multiple projects, problem-solving, and adaptability to changeStrong written & verbal communication skillsWorking Conditions:

What we offer:At Jazwares, we believe in providing our employees with comprehensive and competitive benefits that support their well-being and overall satisfaction. The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 /Yr. Actual base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for annual performance incentives may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, salary range may not apply to other states.

The benefits package includes basic medical insurance that is 100% company-paid for employees and their children, employee basic life and AD&D insurance, a 401(K) retirement program with Jazwares matching up to 4% of pretax or post-tax deferrals, short and long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.

The flexible work environment includes a hybrid schedule with 4 days, Fridays WFH, up to 20 workdays fully remote each year, Summer Fridays, Time Off for vacation, sick leave, and volunteer work.
