As the Senior Product Designer, you will successfully design and develop innovative products for one of the hottest brands in the market! You will have the opportunity to demonstrate creative thinking and execute on a wide variety of projects to support and align with brand strategies and objectives. The ideal candidate is driven and self-motivated with prior toy or consumer product experience with experience in the girls toy category including small dolls, girls collectibles, fashion dolls, large dolls, playsets, soft goods, plush and role play. What you will do:

Be instrumental in generating new toy concepts to enhance new and/or existing brands.Exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding the competitive marketplace in the toy industry.Champion great design in our high-quality products and help assure they are within target cost and QA/QC requirements.Builds consensus between members throughout the design process.Be adaptable to shifting priorities and be vigilant to keep your projects moving forward to hit deadlines.Work collaboratively with your branding, product management, engineering, packaging, licensor and other internal team partners to create product that is the best fit for the brand.Attend Brand and licensing meeting and brainstorming to obtain enough information for product design.Successfully prepare, present, and communicate concepts to the brand, development, management, and licensor teams.Ensure delivery of precise, clear, and complete product turnover specifications and ensure they fully understood by the international team/factory.Support the overall strategic goals of product, provide direction and feedback during the development process that is attentive to Licensor and for brand assurance.Responsible for completing, reviewing, documenting specification changes, submitting for licensor approval, and providing comments for illustrative turns, sculpts, paint masters, and sample reviews.Work closely with brand/management teams to resolve development issues, while assuring designs meet the target cost, schedule, and brand standards.Communicate with packaging design team to assure product and packaging are aligned.Strong leadership competency with a focus on results, influence, accountability, collaboration, quality, cost efficiency, and timelines.Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments across internal and external key stakeholders.Superior presentation skills, ability to present at all levels within the internal organization as well as key industry events.Establish best practices, standards, and procedures in order to consistently improve product and team efficiency.Coach, mentor, train, develop, and supervise junior product designers throughout design and development processes from concept sketch to production.Prepare and lead meetings, track minutes, manage and prioritize action items for the team.Manages People: No

Bachelor’s Degree in toy design, industrial design, industrial engineering, or industry relevant field preferred5-8 years of relevant experience, ideally experience in the girls toy category including small dolls, girls collectibles, fashion dolls, large dolls, playsets, soft goods, plush and role play1+ years of experience working with global manufacturing factories (Asia preferred)Exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding the competitive marketplace in the toy industryProactively observes and gain understanding of the competitive marketplace including current trends and innovationComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-SuiteStrong proficiency in adobe creative suite (illustrator, photoshop, and InDesign)Strong project management skillsAble to work cross functionally and reciprocally with multiple departmentsAble to work independently or collaborativelyKnowledge of materials and multiple manufacturing processesKnowledge of working with licensed brandsExceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skillsAble to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyDemonstrates a strong design sense, including a well-developed sense of aestheticsCan easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time, while also demonstrating vigilance in keeping projects moving forward and hitting deadlinesEffective problem solver and critical thinker; proactive in resolving issuesExpertise in control drawings and rendered illustration conceptsAbility to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner

What we offer:

At Jazwares, we believe in providing our employees with comprehensive and competitive benefits that support their well-being and overall satisfaction.The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - 95,000.00/Yr. Base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, location. Eligibility for annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, salary range may not apply to other states.
