As the Product Designer in our fast growing Girls Product Design Team, you will successfully design and develop product for one of the hottest brands in the market. Demonstrates creative thinking and execute on a wide variety of projects to support and align with brand strategies and objectives. The ideal candidate is driven and self-motivated with prior toy or consumer product experience with experience in the girls toy category including small dolls, girls collectibles, fashion dolls, large dolls, playsets, soft goods, plush and role play. What you will do:
Self-motivated to manage projects and participate in team efforts on shared tasks.Oversee projects through the entire design process while balancing cost, quality, and schedule.Work collaboratively with marketing, product management, engineering, packaging, licensor, and other internal team partners to create products that best fit the brand and meet licensor requirements.Be adaptable to shifting priorities and ensure projects move forward to meet deadlines.Be instrumental in generating new toy concepts and designing new play experiences for new and existing brands and product lines.Successfully present and communicate concepts to management, internal partners, and licensors.Prepare both 2D and 3D materials for effective concept presentations.Provide direction and feedback during the development process to ensure the brand is well represented and meets licensor and brand standards.Evolve concepts through initial ideation, refinement, prototype execution, and turnover packages to development teams.Support the overall strategic goals of the product within its brand segment.Deliver end-to-end product design including research, concepts, prototypes, and user testing.Champion high-quality designs that meet target cost, QA/QC requirements, and compatibility, usability, and superior play experiences.Build consensus among team members throughout the design process.Attend brand and licensing meetings and brainstorming sessions to gather information for product design.Ensure delivery of precise, clear, and complete product turnover specifications that are fully understood by the international team/factory.Work with outside vendors as needed.Complete, review, and document specification changes, submit for licensor approval, and provide comments for illustrative turns, sculpts, paint masters, and sample reviews.Collaborate with the packaging design team to align product and packaging.Perform other duties as assigned.Manages People:

Bachelor’s Degree in toy design, industrial design, industrial engineering, or industry relevant field preferred3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally experience in the girls toy category including small dolls, girls collectibles, fashion dolls, large dolls, playsets, soft goods, plush and role play1+ years of experience working with global manufacturing factories (Asia preferred)Exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding the competitive marketplace in the toy industryProactively observes and gain understanding of the competitive marketplace including current trends and innovationComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-SuiteStrong proficiency in adobe creative suite (illustrator, photoshop, and InDesign)Strong project management skillsAble to work cross functionally and reciprocally with multiple departmentsAble to work independently or collaborativelyKnowledge of materials and multiple manufacturing processesKnowledge of working with licensed brandsExceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skillsAble to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyDemonstrates a strong design sense, including a well-developed sense of aestheticsCan easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time, while also demonstrating vigilance in keeping projects moving forward and hitting deadlinesEffective problem solver and critical thinker; proactive in resolving issuesExpertise in control drawings and rendered illustration conceptsAbility to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner

Base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, location. Eligibility for annual performance incentive may apply.
