PIPING DESIGNER

minimum of 10 years' experience in design and drafting in a refinery, or equivalent, setting. Ideally this would be someone that has worked at a client's site, or at least has good experience working in these industries.Preference would be for someone that has experience with the CLIENT refinery.Proficient in the use of AutoCAD. CLIENT currently uses AutoCad 2023.Experience with 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, etc. would be preferred but isn't a requirement for this role.Experience with software that interacts with AutoCAD, such as the ProCAD suite that includes isometric piping drawing software.Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.Ability and willingness to learn and adhere to CLIENT's Safe Practice Standards and CLIENT's Corporate Safety Standards as needed.Able to travel to and go outdoors into the Lemont refinery and wear PPE consisting of Fire Resistant Clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe boots with a defined heal, gloves, nd ear plugs. This is CLIENT'S minimum PPE requirements. Also be able to don a safety harness and use it properly, if needed.Perform field walkdowns if needed for layout, reviews, and verifications for design work, which could involve climbing ladders and stairways.Has knowledge of or can quickly become knowledgeable in CLIENT Piping specifications for design work.Create field sketches for upfront engineering activities and convert those to AutoCAD files when released to do so by the Engineer, and modify and update existing refinery drawings as required to fulfill project needs such as:

P&IDsPiping plans and detailsIsometricsPlot plans and civil/structural detailsEquipment/Vendor Drawings

Learn and work within CLIENT's Management of Change (MOC) system for completing action items assigned to them.
