Music Therapist

Under the general direction of the administrator, and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Ingham Intermediate School District, this position is responsible for supporting students with special needs by coordinating, guiding, and implementing evidence-based practices to support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of students through music therapy. • Utilize a variety of music therapy techniques, including singing, playing instruments, movement and music listening, to address student's IEP goals. • Adapt interventions to meet the unique needs and preferences of each student, including those with special needs, such as autism spectrum disorder, severe multiple impairments, and cognitive impairments. • Lead group music therapy sessions in various settings.
