REPORTS TO:

Chief Marketing OfficerPURPOSE:

Play a pivotal role in executing marketing initiatives and coordinating various events and partnerships to promote the organization's brand and mission. Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and other team members to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns, manage partner relationships, and coordinate events such as fundraisers, tournaments, and promotional activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Coordination and Management:Coordinate and manage national office events and national tradeshows, including logistics, planning, and ordering marketing materials or giveaways.Work with Devon Park stadium operations and the USA Softball events team to coordinate and plan events at Devon Park Stadium and other locations across the country and internationally.Ensure smooth operations for USA Softball's participation in events, including setting up booths and managing event logistics.Facilitate national player appearances, working with the National Teams Director and Communications Manager to ensure a positive experience for players and satisfaction for partnerships.Work with the Membership Department to support the execution of annual council meeting logistics, trade shows, conventions, and museum fundraisers, including sponsorship, signage, and event coordination.Partnership Activation:

Manage partner activations at events, particularly USA Softball events in Oklahoma City at Devon Park and other national events.Liaise with partners to plan participation, ensure timely delivery of event materials, and fulfill contractual obligations.Work with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop new partnerships and programs, amplifying USA Softball's brand across the nation.Coordinate athlete appearances at events and partner activations, managing travel logistics and scheduling.Generate sponsor opportunities at the national level by identifying potential partners and developing tailored proposals.Marketing Initiatives:

Create and manage partner social calendars, including coordinating email campaigns and analyzing post-email performance.Assist in the marketing of the USA Softball store, including inventory management and promotional strategies.Coordinate content creation, including logistics, scheduling, and branding compliance.Manage licensing agreements and website updates, including maintaining vendor information and handling agreements and invoices.Facilitate hotel partnership agreements, from initial meetings to quarterly rebate tracking and promotion.Handle promotional items, including ordering, inventory management, and distribution.Coordinate banners for events on and off Devon Park, from production to display and partner coordination.Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:

Ability to work at the National Office in Oklahoma City, OK.Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, sports management, event planning, or a related field.Experience in marketing, business development, partnership activation, or donor relations.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong understanding of marketing concepts and strategy.Proficiency in Photoshop, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and travel domestically.Ability to lift heavier packages and work outside for event setup.Familiarity with softball culture and an understanding of college and amateur softball dynamics are preferred and considered advantageous for this role.

2-4 years in marketing and event management, preferably within sports.Skills:

Creative, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary range for this position is $52,000-57,500, depending on experience.
