SUMMARY

The Director, Marketing is responsible for leading the company's Marketing strategies including programs vital to the growth and success of the company. The Director, Marketing will manage the calendar planning process which develops and organizes the company's sales generating activities throughout the year. Customer acquisition and retention is a key part of this positions responsibilities. The Director, Marketing is the steward of the Brand, managing Brand strategy including the development and execution of various programs to grow the brand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, implements and manages Marketing strategyResponsible for meeting Marketing goals and objectives including traffic, sales, return on advertising spend, customer acquisition /retention goals.Manages the company's Marketing programs and functions.Builds and fosters critical relationships with company peers, executive & account managers at marketing partners, leaders within major brands/vendors.Leads Marketing team initiatives to deliver on customer acquisition growth and retention goals.Manages the company planning process that determines what key messages and actives will occur each month to maximize sales.Conducts customer research through a variety of mechanisms to gain insights on shopping behavior as well as customer wants/needs.Researches and monitors marketing trends, emerging disciplines, and competition. Develops robust marketing capabilities to enable the company to compete and win in the future.Manages the creation of relevant and engaging content for all of Hibbett's platforms & channels.Drives top line sales and bottom-line profitability through efficient and measurable marketing programs. Creates plans to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.Responsible for the strategy, execution, analysis, and on-going optimization of Hibbett's Digital marketing program.Leads weekly marketing meetings by reviewing projects and a variety of detailed scorecards that track KPI's in each area of marketing.Leads, motivates, and develops marketing employees.Works with Merchandising to develop company promotional plan. The marketing team administrates agreed upon promotions in the company promotional management system.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees employees in the marketing department and also includes all marketing agencies. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles. 3+ years of experience in managing.Proven track record of managing, scaling, and developing teams.Demonstrated ability to craft customer-facing messaging.A strong grasp of current marketing strategies and best practices.Experience working in retail marketing, specifically athletic apparel, and foot ware.Data oriented leader with experience defining key success metrics and driving towards those metrics as part of the overall marketing strategy.Proven ability to build and maintain a brand, focused on retaining customers and building customer loyalty.
