Caring. Connecting. Growing together.Optum is seeking an experienced health care professional with deep Payer Marketing knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry. In collaboration with other senior leaders on the Pharmacy Advisory Services (PAS) team and within the broader Optum Advisory Services (OAS) organization, the Senior Director will lead the sales and delivery of new Payer Marketing consulting services. Current PAS offerings include a variety of actuarial- and payer-focused education, modeling, and strategy services. The Senior Director must be motivated to build, sell, and grow something new. Critical to this role is the ability to establish trusted relationships with our clients, efficiently translate subject matter expertise into the development and availability of new service offerings, sell those offerings, and execute with the highest levels of client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:Proactively build trusted relationships with clientsProactively assure the highest level of client satisfactionProactively build solid team and matrix relationshipsProactively support the development and motivation of other professionalsDevelop new Payer Marketing consulting servicesWork with clients to align on their problems/opportunitiesBe accountable for the sales of the new offeringsLead peers and supporting colleagues to efficiently execute the related servicesProvide thought leadership to the market experience

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:15+ years of working directly for one or more pharmaceutical companies5+ years of experience working specifically in Payer MarketingExperience working in Brand Marketing or a centralized Marketing Center of ExcellenceExperience as the leader / owner of the overall Payer Marketing PlanDemonstrated ability to sell products, services, and/or ideasDemonstrated ability to thrive in a complex company matrixWilling to travel at least 20% of the time (on average)

Preferred Qualifications:Experience in contracting strategyExperience in early phase commercial development (PII and early PIII)Experience in Brand Market ResearchProficiency in public speaking

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
