This position creates the strategic business development plan and is responsible for its execution ensuring that brand reputation and growth strategy are aligned with business goals. This position serves on the leadership team and reports directly to the company President.Essential Job Functions:Provides leadership to the sales and marketing teams.Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.Assigns territories and sets quotas for sales teams.Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.Achieve departmental sales goals set by leadership.Gain a deep understanding of the company's service and products.Assist with pitching and closing business when needed.Provide training and development to team on both sales strategies and industry knowledge.Outline annual marketing plan and strategy to support annual sales goals.Work with agency and internal resources to deliver marketing deliverables.Oversee all aspects of Company marketing, PR and brand image and social media to be aligned with company principals.Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.Local and national travel, as assigned.Additional sales and marketing duties as assigned.Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Supervisory Responsibility:This position is responsible for overseeing the Sales and Marketing Team through the following methods:Hires and trains sales and marketing staff.Organizes and oversees the schedules and performance of sales and marketing staff.Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Required Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field, ORComparable record of sales leadership experience required.At least 10 years of sales experience needed.
