Lead UX Researcher

What you'll do in this roleYou will plan, execute and report out on research for a variety of touchpoints: website, mobile, and native apps. This researcher should be able to collect and analyze data to uncover user behaviors, needs and motivations to drive actionable insights for digital experiences and the product design process. You will:• Work closely with either a senior or lead researcher to support cross-functional product and design teams. Evaluate in-progress design artifacts, develop and execute research programs to effectively meet the bank's business and design objectives.• Conduct a variety of qualitative and quantitative research activities to provide a comprehensive understanding of the digital experience. This includes both evaluative and generative toolsets.• Partner collaboratively with designers and stakeholders to understand research needs.• Produce solid deliverables across the research workflow, including: research briefs, screeners, test plans, quantitative and qualitative analysis, heuristic reviews, & reports.• Communicate and share your work in a clear, organized and actionable manner, generating visual artifacts that make the research process and your findings digestible, impactful and easily understood.

You're a person who has (required skills)• 3+ years of well-rounded experience in design research, methodologies, analysis & actionable reporting.• Familiarity and experience with the following evaluative techniques: both unmoderated and moderated usability testing, click tests, card sorting, tree tests, concept testing, comparative testing and think-aloud protocol.• Familiarity and experience with the following generative techniques: analytics mining, secondary research, competitive analysis, surveys, experience audits, customer intercepts, participatory design, diary studies, contextual inquiry and field observation.• Experience testing across desktop, mobile & native (IOS/Android) platforms.• A research portfolio that conveys strong examples of your research approach, presentation, and visual story-telling skills.• Knowledge of best practices in user interface design and the ability to make both heuristic & research-based design recommendations.• Proficiency with User Zoom / User Testing, D-Scout and other online testing platforms.• Proficiency with MS Office tools, Keynote, Freehand and/or Mural.

You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills)• Experience collaborating through Sketch, InVision, and other common design tools to facilitate testing• Experience with analytics and quantitative analysis of VOC utilizing sources such as App Store ratings, Medallia, Clicktale/Contentsquare, Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, etc.• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and design systems

Travel is possible: Possibly 5% to project meetings in a TBD US location
