As a Jewish Day School, PJA is a 6 week - preschool and K-8 school that strives to ensure an academically rich environment which honors the whole child. Free membership to the Mittleman Jewish Community Center (www.oregonjcc.org) and 50% tuition discount for children of our employees (birth- 8th grade) round out this generous benefits package.JOB SUMMARY:The Graphic Designer, Social Media & Marketing Specialist performs advanced, specialized work in the graphic design and production of printed, digital and multimedia materials.This position maintains websites and creates electronic mailings.This position also monitors, updates and controls social media outlets.The position works with the Marketing & Creative Director to ensure materials are created in a timely manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Graphic Design

Design and coordinate printed materials for MJCC membership promotions, fundraising events, arts + cultural events, Day Camp, fitness classes and more. Create membership campaigns which include direct mail, digital and print advertisements, and banners.Determine themes, design concepts, and timelines for all projects in conjunction with the marketing team.Create concept design for PJA admissions advertisements and events as well as the annual auction.Coordinate with third-party printing vendor to ensure timely delivery of materials or print in-house.Photography & Video

Help with photography.Assist in video production and editing for two large videos per year.Digital Communications

Ensure that websites are current, easy to use, and effectively communicate pertinent information.Work with supervisor to manage social media outlets and analyze data through Google Analytics.Create and disseminate electronic newsletters and email blasts.Knowledge of Marketing Principles

Collaborate with supervisor to strategize marketing plans for both organizations.Participate in brainstorming concept ideas to target audiences.QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing or a related field;Professional graphic design experience that includes the coordination of large projects;Experience managing social media;Knowledge of modern marketing principles and practices;Videography experience preferred.Knowledge

Practices, methods + skills of graphic design and layout, including digital marketing; social media and internet culture;Branding with a creative lens; knowledge of project management;Print production industry.Skills

Adobe Creative Suite on PC;Microsoft Office software applications; and all PC applications;Photography and video editing;Large production machine skills preferred.Ability

Project a positive, professional image of the MJCC and PJA;Manage and juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities;Conceptualize projects and interpret information to create graphic designs;Adapt graphic design and writing style to separate audiences and purposes;Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;Edit written communications to serve marketing purposes.Organize and execute work independently, under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines;Meet and deal courteously and effectively with other employees, vendors and the public.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk for extended periods.This position requires visual acuity within normal limits with the ability to discern varying shades of color.Duties require the ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse for extended periods.WORK ENVIRONMENT:
