San Diego Strike Force Director of Marketing and Communications

Summary:

We are the San Diego Strike Force. The only pro football team in San Diego, and we are on a (non) top secret mission to find our Director of Marketing and Communications. We are a lean and resourceful group whose front office operations are as fun and exciting as our last second wins on the field.

The Director of Marketing and Communications will primarily be responsible for helping us maximize ticket sales and sponsorship revenue opportunities through a strategic and creative cross-functional marketing effort

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Lead a marketing offense utilizing our Brand and positioning, that drives and maximizes impact and revenue generation for Ticketing, Sponsorship and MerchandiseIdentify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, and develop and manage an annual marketing budgetProactively strategize with the Box Office/Ticket Sales team to utilize data and insight in developing new campaigns, tactics, and products that will engage fans and lead to increased conversionsCollaborate on the creation and execution of initiatives to build the database of prospective ticket purchasersOversee the development and execution of B2B and B2C marketing collateral and advertising creative, including TV, radio, print, digital and social media advertisingLead paid media strategy, ensuring proper segmentation and channel placementLead non-paid social media development, maximizing available content to grow organic customer/fan baseCreate programs to activate relationships with San Diego Strike Force partners and implement initiatives in conjunction with the Corporate Sponsorship team to accomplish marketing partner objectivesOversee the management and creation of social media/in-game/print/digital graphics and video elements to ensure consistent world class brand presentation for the organizationLeverage effective multi-directional communication to ensure alignment with and delivery for stakeholders and clients.Oversee and manage marketing support staff (Consultants/Interns)Preferred:

Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Business or Public Relations. Master's degree is a plus.Prior experience working with HubSpot Marketing and Sales platformsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage marketing across multiple companiesStrong leadership/management skillsCreative and strategic thinkerProven ability to plan and manage budgetsExcellent analytical and interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communicationProven success working collaboratively across multi-functional teamsAdobe suite proficiency - i.e. Photoshop/After Effects/etc. - or similar skill setPrior experience managing staff in the sports industry or hospitalityDemonstrated understanding of social media algorithms, and growth strategiesRequired Qualifications:

3-5 years of leading high-performing integrated brand marketing teamsProven experience in planning, delivering, communicating, and measuring strategic marketing and sales campaignsStrong command of the integrated marketing mix and all associated functionsMedia planning experienceSports marketing experience, especially in a team role, is highly preferredHigh attention to detail with ability to handle projects from brief through executionDemonstrated successful management and leadership skillsStrong analytical skills to comprehend customer segmentation and market researchExceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and writtenSelf-starter, entrepreneurial with hands-on approach towards businessAbility to multi-task and work within tight deadlinesSalary Range:
