This role will primarily support TaxAct as the organization helps everyday Americans file their taxes. We seek to build a team of experts in tax and technology who are customer advocates and have the mindset to reimagine the services our customers receive.

The Senior Director of Variable Marketing will lead our marketing analytics efforts across paid search, paid social, and SEO, for all Taxwell websites, i.e. TaxAct, Drake Software and 1040.com. As a key member of our organization, you will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making to optimize marketing performance and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage our paid search, paid social, and SEO teams for all Taxwell websites, i.e. TaxAct, Drake Software and 1040.com, ensuring their effective functioning and growth.Provide strategic analytic insights and design action plans to enhance all aspects of our marketing efforts, including campaign performance, audience segmentation, conversion optimization, and ROI analysis.Develop our conversion algorithm models to improve our bidding and increase our ROAS efficiency.Develop testing methodologies to assess the incremental value of our programs.Collaborate with our partners such as Google or Bing to improve paid search and paid social programs.Generate regular reports and dashboards, synthesizing data from various sources to deliver actionable insights and recommendations to the marketing leadership team.Utilize analytics to inform marketing strategy development, conceptualize ideas, and justify business cases for marketing initiatives.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, and Analytics to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and objectives.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a marketing analytics role, with a focus on digital marketing channels such as paid search, paid social, and SEO.Master's degree or MBA preferred, with a strong emphasis on statistics, analytics, and/or marketing.Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel and Google Analytics, demonstrating expert-level capabilities.Exceptional analytical skills, including problem-solving, attention to detail, and clear communication of complex results.Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and effectively utilize relevant processes and technologies.Proven experience in people management, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling successful team management and collaboration.Ability to deliver insights with creativity and pragmatism, ensuring a clear understanding of the business implications.Independent thinker with the confidence to challenge conventional approaches.Proactive mindset with a hands-on and can-do attitude.
