Position Summary
For over 40 years, Drake Software LLC has designed and developed tax preparation solutions for tax professionals. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies in the B2B software industry. This role requires a strong blend of creativity, analytical skills, and leadership to drive the successful promotion of our software products and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Strategic Planning
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies to drive awareness, demand, and market penetration for our B2B software products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to align product messaging with overall business goals.
Go-to-Market Strategy
Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans for new product launches and updates, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach across all channels.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
Messaging and Positioning:
Craft compelling and differentiated product messaging and positioning that resonates with target audiences and effectively communicates the unique value proposition of our software solutions.
Develop customer personas and tailor messaging to address specific pain points and needs within different segments.
Content Development
Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing collateral, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and presentations, to support sales and marketing efforts.
Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all communication channels.
Sales Enablement
Work closely with the sales team to develop tools, training materials, and resources that empower them to effectively communicate product value propositions and overcome objections.
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of sales enablement programs and adjust strategies as needed.
Market Analysis And Intelligence
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform product strategy and positioning.
Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the B2B Tax software industry.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful product marketing strategies.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
