SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Director, Product Design to lead our team of talented UI and UX designers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and managing UX teams within small-business SaaS companies, with a focus on business users and retail environments. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to drive the design and user experience of our products.

- In office travel to SQUIRE's HQ in New York City (NoLita) may be required based on team and business needs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with Product and Engineering stakeholders to align UX strategies with business goalsLead, mentor, and grow a team of UI and UX designersEstablish and maintain a comprehensive UX research roadmapDefine and implement effective interaction design and information architectureInstitute strategies to conduct regular user discoveries to understand user needs and behaviorsImplement usability testing strategies to gather actionable insightsFacilitate agile discovery and design processes to ensure user-centric product development

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in UX research in a B2B or B2C digital product environment3+ years of direct experience managing a team of UI and UX designersDemonstrated success in developing and implementing UX strategies and roadmapsStrong grasp of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and toolsStrong background in interaction design, information architecture, and usability testingExcellent communication skills to clearly articulate insights and influence product directionAbility to travel 25% of the time

WHAT WE OFFER

- Base Salary ($180,000 - $215,000) + Bonus (15%)
