WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an outstanding Expert Apparel Designer to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, and creativity to help build the future of Jordan Apparel. As our Expert Designer in Jordan, you'll utilize your design skills to build original, style-led designs that accurately reflect Jordan’s design philosophy and lead the industry through innovation. You will be encouraged to be a collaborative partner among our cross-functional team and execute on business priorities. Through continued research and consumer connection, you will need to quickly anticipate and identify key trends that translate into culturally relevant products. This person should be passionate about bringing to life the seasonal creative direction by leading a team through their knowledge of product excellence and collaboration.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As our Expert Apparel Designer, you will work under the direction of the Design Director to create innovative designs for Performance product lines and partner with cross-functional teams on product development, from concepting through to production. You will be partnering with the Jordan Graphic Designers, Color Designers, Developers, and Product Line Managers, to bring to life the seasonal creative direction. This opportunity also involves partnering with Design Leadership and category team members in Design, Development and Merchandising to ensure design feasibility while meeting price points, merchandising needs and product creation timelines. You will provide prototype sampling and tech pack information, including fabrication, trim, color, graphic applications, style, detail, fit requirements and construction details. You'll also monitor the development of prototype samples and interact with our Development, Pattern Making, Material, and the Sample Room to exchange ideas and ensure timely completion of each project. You'll provide guidance and leadership to Designers and team members and share knowledge, experience, and product excellence with others. From concepting seasonal collections, to working with manufacturing partners, to communicating directly with athletes and collaborators, the daily responsibilities of this role are wide ranging, ambitious, and rewarding.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be partnering with several cross-functional teams, including - Color Design, Graphic Design, Product Management and Development teams, in bringing to life the seasonal creative direction through Apparel Design and Innovation.

WHAT YOU BRING

Design Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

8+ years' experience designing and developing innovative Apparel and other products.

Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.

Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills.

Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).

Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus.

3D design program experience are a plus.

Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.

Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, construction.

Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.
