South Dakota State University is looking for a self-motivated, people-centered individual to join in leading our Jackrabbit Central team! This position will be located at the Jackrabbit Central location on the main Brookings campus.

Job Responsibilities:

The Jackrabbit Central Marketing & Online Operations Assistant reports to the Jackrabbit Central Marketing & Online Operations Manager for communications, special programs and promotions, and subordinate marketing student development. They assist in the development and delivery of all aspects of graphic design, social media, marketing, video, photography, and promotion. They are responsible for the vision, quality, and consistency of all creative work bearing the Jackrabbit Central and SDSU brand. Additionally, they provide peer supervision to all student staff areas. The Marketing & Online Operations Assistant Manager will also serve as a team leader that is expected to contribute to policy decisions, staff training and development, participant education, program assessment, and program promotion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of:Windows or Apple-based computer systems and graphics programs.And experience with marketing techniques, web design, graphic design, or promotionsIntermediate to advanced knowledge/experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, etc.)Supervisory, administrative, or leadership experience, preferredAnd experience with, or awareness of promotional methods, and marketing techniques, preferred

Comments:

This position is classified as an Information Specialist. SDSU is a tobacco free environment.
