Position Overview:

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, enhance marketing efforts, and drive engagement across all social media platforms for the MBO family of companies. This role will also involve local public relations activities to enhance our presence and relationships within the municipalities and cities we serve. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for social media, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies for MBO companiesCreate and curate engaging content (text, images, videos, etc.) for various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others.Monitor and analyze social media performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and native platform analytics.Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and manage online communities to foster a positive brand image.Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall marketing goals.Plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions to support marketing initiatives.Coordinate with graphic designers, content creators, and other team members to produce high-quality content.Track and report on key performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies.Assist in managing social media advertising campaigns and budgets.Local PR Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with local media outlets, community organizations, and municipal contacts within the cities we serve.Create and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to promote company news, events, and initiatives.Coordinate with marketing coordinators and attend local events, sponsorships, and community activities to enhance brand presence and community engagement.Monitor and report on local media coverage and public sentiment regarding our services and initiatives.Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate PR activities with social media strategies.Respond to media inquiries and manage crisis communications as needed.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.Proven experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role.Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.Familiarity with SEO, web traffic metrics, and social media analytics tools.Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the telecom industry.Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.Knowledge of paid social media advertising and campaign management.Experience in public relations, particularly within local communities and municipalities.What We Offer:
