It operates nine donor centers in South Texas, distributing blood, plasma, platelets, and other components to regional hospitals and emergency first responders. It also provides starting materials to therapeutic developers, and clinical research services. Its apheresis center received FACT accreditation in 2022 for peripheral blood cellular therapy product collection. As an AATB-accredited tissue bank, it offers tissue recovery from living and deceased donors.

General Summary

As part of Donor Marketing & Community Engagement team, the Manager, Creative Services will provide oversight and direction of the implementation of a variety of donor-facing marketing, communication, digital, and advertising solutions.

This position will develop, deliver, and support a range of initiatives to improve the use of donor-facing collateral and design for South Texas Blood & Tissue.

Additionally, the Manager, Creative Services must be able to operate efficiently and effectively in a deadline-driven environment and must demonstrate self- motivation and energy ensuring all deadline are successfully achieved.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Tasks

In conjunction with the Senior Manager, Donor Marketing & Community Engagement, and external creative agencies leads the overall creative vision of South Texas Blood & Tissue by conceptualizing all brand and donor- facing marketing campaigns and complimentary collateral that is aligned with brand guidelines and donor marketing strategies to support donor retention and acquisition.

Content Development

Capture and create dynamic multimedia content to support campaign objectives and community partnerships, foster relationships, and enhance brand presence across all digital platforms.

This includes video production and real-time content creation coverage, as well as engaging content for social media, blogs, emails, newsletters, and other donor-facing marketing channels.

Utilize advanced photography techniques to capture compelling images that tell a story, including conducting annual photoshoots featuring donors, patients, and volunteers.

Process, edit, enhance, and archive photos for use across various creative projects.

Create compelling graphics and visual content to complement textual content and enhance the visual appeal of marketing materials.

Uses software such as Adobe InDesign or similar program to design and typeset multi-page materials such as forms, brochures, newsletters, vector art such as logos, posters and displays include producing Web and video graphics.

Creates print and digital materials including event flyers, invitations, posters, signage, t-shirts, promotional items, brochures, and presentations.

Provides oversight to the production of video and photography at events and created for special projects. Maintains and updates South Texas Blood & Tissue website and Intranet site.

Provide design direction and HTML support for email marketing campaigns, website, and intranet, and consult with internal customers to support the utilization of in-house production equipment.

Creates and adheres to an impactful brand that includes design, website, social media, and events.

Website Development

Oversee the creation and maintenance of ad materials, ensuring integration of creative and media, and updating company website and intranet content regularly.

Update company website and intranet content regularly.

Digital Strategies

Effectively executes digital strategies that generate interest and meet the needs of goals and objectives to include daily management of digital channels, updating, content creation/editing, and other necessary tasks.

Oversee the creation and maintenance of ad materials ensuring integration of creative and media.

Analyze ongoing social media initiatives, measuring the effectiveness and reporting on results with clear, actionable insights.

Oversee content-related projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they align with strategic goals and are delivered on schedule.

Plans, researches, develops, and executes concepts for a variety of creative projects requiring graphic design.

Oversees the Digital Media Specialist in creating digital efforts of social media.

Assists with paid search and social media campaigns and analyzes its performance.

Responsible for the oversight of success email campaigns.

Analyze, evaluate, and report on results of media, promotional campaign, sponsorships, and partnerships to plan next initiatives accordingly.

Maintains donor-facing marketing calendars to support effective communication.

Continually provides best practices and analyzes industry trends to keep all produced creative cutting-edge.

Provides monthly reporting on Google Analytics and Social Media Metrics.

Assist with the planning and execution of special events for donor and group recognition, ensuring adherence to budget and organizational standards.

Provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers at all times.

Maintain a close working relationship with Corporate Communications and BBG management.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work relative to the field of assignment.

The required major is Marketing, Business Administration, Health Sciences, or related field.

Experience

Requires five or more years of job specific experience.

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge

Must demonstrate proficiency and understanding in creating and maintaining digital presentation and social media platforms, website construction and maintenance, email marketing tactics, precision targeting of audiences, etc.

Must obtain a working knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements and perform within all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.

Must acquire a working knowledge of all STBTC services and become familiar with all healthcare facilities serviced by STBTC.

Must be or become familiar with the community and area serviced.

Skills

Must have excellent computer skills and highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and creative tools such as Photoshop, PremierPro, InDesign as well as Microsoft Office.

Must have excellent collaboration and project management skills.

Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.

Must have experience using Adobe Suite programs.

Must have strong computer skills.

Must have experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint,and Excel.

Must be capable of communicating well with multiple level audiences.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Must have excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is helpful.

Working Environment

Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned and heated vehicle or office environments, but may work in confined spaces and non-climate controlled conditions.

May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment.

May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on-call.

Occasional out of town and overnight stays required.

Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.
