General Duties
Solicit and market existing and new Business members. Provide information and address benefits of membership; Address needs of members by promoting all Chamber events and member opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain good member relationsSolicit potential new members and maintain existing business membership baseProvide social media promotion, advertising, email marketing, monthly e-newsletter and bi-weekly podcastOversee, verify, and update all member informationAssist with fundraising and sponsorship opportunitiesAid visitors and answer general questions about businesses, Chamber operations, and community activitiesOccasional public speaking, education, and training eventsAssist in planning and implementation of Chamber events; specifically, New Member promotion and eventsProvide support and assist of overall Chamber operationsMust have reliable transportationMust be able to lift up to 50lbs
Experience/Education
Experience working with the public in a pleasant and professional mannerMust be willing to make sales calls and record information accuratelyDemonstrate computer skillsDemonstrate good communications skills, both verbally and writtenDemonstrate good judgment and decision-making abilitiesShow initiative in membership development and retentionDesire to work closely with Chamber members and staff for the good of the organization
The successful candidate will need the following qualifications:
Exceptional leadership skills.A passion for community, and the ability to effectively advocate the interests of our business members.A business degree and/or business management experience preferred.Exceptional marketing, spelling, social media, and Microsoft office.Verbal and written communication.Strategic thinking, creative thinking and planning.Event planning, budgeting, and fundraising are helpful but willing to train.
