From your PASSION to ours
Under supervision of and partnership with the Director of PR and Consumer Engagement, this position is responsible for leading communications strategies both internally and externally that bring Lactalis US Yogurt brands to life with consumers and employees. This role has a significant impact on perception and love for our brands and products. This role leads the development of plans and concepts that connect with brand objectives, growing reach and awareness and creating loyal ambassadors both within our organization and outside of our walls. Public relations, internal communications and consumer campaign concepting are all a significant portion of this position, as well as a heavy focus on mission communications. This position works closely with a large variety of stakeholders within the business and interfaces with agencies, media and other external stakeholders as well. The harmonization of these communication pillars and functions will be critical to the success of this role.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Strategic Communications Development: Both on a yearlong and campaign basis, this position develops the strategy for successful strategic communication plans and concepting for external (PR) communications and internal communications. Develop, present, and execute consumer-relevant, annual communication plans across all key brands (Stonyfield, siggi's Brown Cow) with clear measures for success.
  • Local Media Pitching: Local media can be extremely impactful for our brands. This position will take key stories and pitch to both New England-based outlets as well as select key-media markets across the country.
  • Editor Product Shipping
    Lead on product shipping for product awards, quarterly editor shipments, and all shipments associated with PR. Keep an organized product shipment tracker and work closely with Community Marketing team to get product out the door to key stakeholders.

  • Co-lead of PR Agency Management
    Manage on-going communication, pitch feedback, campaign management and overall relations with external PR agency.

  • Creative Consumer Engagement Concepting: The ideal candidate for this role will be a true creative conceptor - able to identify trends in culture and apply them to our brands to develop PR-centric campaigns with a 360-degree lens. Must have the ability to ideate, develop, gain alignment on and deploy viral-based ideas that start with PR and lend themselves to other consumer engagement disciplines.
  • Mission/Purpose Communications
    Ownership of the development of cross-functional mission communications utilizing our brands' heritage and established purposes and mission goals to bring impactful consumer engagement to life. Lead partner on Impact Report development, and even more importantly, distilling granular mission projects into illuminated consumer comms.

  • Measurement and Insights
    Responsible for delivering robust measurement and insights used to back strategy and optimize communication plans, across communication pillars, on a quarterly basis.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Primary liaison for public relations efforts with other business teams such as, social media, Digital Media, the internal Creative Team, Brand Marketing, Sales, etc. to generate integrated and buzzworthy public relations-centric consumer campaigns. Highly attuned to company business goals, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Campaign and Editorial Production: Calendar ownership inclusive of key editorial moments and brand activations for both internal and external communications; calendar should reflect plans for all functions that report into this role.
  • Communication Deployment: Responsible for developing clear, impactful communication deployed across all channels that ladder up to this role (Internal, External and Corporate Comms). These communications should be impactful both with language and visuals and can be developed with support of the internal creative team. This position is also responsible for determining which communication platforms and tools are needed to be most successful.
  • Internal Communications and Culture: Leads internal communications launches and brand campaigns, generating excitement within the organization and strategically deploying communication across the most pertinent channels. Responsible for events and activations that drive strong morale.

  • 5 years + experience in marketing or communications role; CPG a plus
  • Proficiency in communication
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage a variety of different projects across a variety of functions
