The U District Community Marketing Coordinator is a connector of people, linking in-gym experience with members, industry partners, local community and staff to curate a high-quality experience of community and movement. This is an exciting new location and we are thrilled to connect authentically with the U District Community.
You will collaborate with the U District BP Leadership Team to drive in-gym events, communications, and partnerships in the local community. You connect members and potential members with Bouldering Project offerings to create customer engagement, joy, and quality relationships.
Note: There is an opportunity for full time hours (30+) with added benefits (vacation, health, dental, etc) if the candidate is qualified and available to work in another available role at a different pay rate.
What You'll Do

    • Lead boots-on-the-ground grassroots marketing initiatives to integrate the U District BP into the local community and drive new customer acquisition, conversion to membership, and member retention.
    • Work with the U District BP Leadership Team and the BP Marketing Team to create a calendar of events, workshops, specialty programs, partnerships, retail demos, and local happenings to drive customer engagement.
    • Proactively manage local and high profile events, serving as a local lead for BP Brand-wide events.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, charity partners, event sponsors, affinity groups, businesses, etc. to facilitate high-quality events and drive customer traffic.
    • Drive community outreach initiatives in collaboration with the U District Leadership team and other SBP staff.
    • Keep the local website updated & relevant to support current event advertising, program registrations, etc.
    • Stay up to date and communicate competitive happenings in Seattle as well as current industry and region happenings.
    • Be the voice for our community and staff - you'll coordinate with the Digital Marketing Manager and SBP Leadership Team to clearly communicate all announcements and updates.
    • Support IRL asset creation, basic photography and copy writing for social posts in collaboration with Digital Marketing Manager.
    • Support Digital Marketing Manager with social media community management, to include vendor communication.
    • Support marketing campaigns on-the-ground with materials.
What You'll Bring
    • Proven successful results in brand marketing - experience with grassroots events in Seattle is preferred.
    • Excellent organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
    • The experience, ability & desire to plan, lead and execute local and community events.
    • A highly collaborative attitude with the ability and experience to self motivate.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Your contagious personality - you love connecting with people, you enjoy talking to groups, and you have a habit of talking about SBP everywhere you go.
    • A humble approach - you're willing to roll your sleeves up and execute and know when it's time for team work.

$26 - $32 an hour
