The Marketing Manager, under the general direction of the VP, Marketing & Brand Strategy, will collaborate closely with the bank's executive team, branch personnel, and internal and external stakeholders to create and execute effective marketing strategies across multiple channels. In this role, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives & campaigns that support the bank's strategic priorities. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for contributing to brand awareness, customer acquisition & retention goals.
Marketing Manager

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the bank's objectives
  • Research and identify audiences and target markets.
  • Manage agencies, external vendors/resources and strategic partners.
  • Develop project timelines/schedules and track delivery, ensuring the successful delivery of marketing deliverables.
  • Communicate marketing strategies and plans to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that our brand value and position are clear, compelling, and consistent across platforms.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other marketing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry/market trends, competitor strategies, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Review existing campaigns, tactics, and technologies and make proactive recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish measurement plans that track campaign effectiveness and results. Leverage data and insights to optimize and enhance marketing strategies.
  • Develop marketing materials, content and collateral.
  • Act as a brand ambassador. Effectively represent and evangelize the Centreville Bank brand story at relevant engagements and events.
  • Support the tracking and efficient use of the Marketing budget.
Senior Marketing Manager
  • In addition to Marketing Manager duties above:
  • Fulfill all duties above in direct partnership/collaboration with VP, Marketing & Brand Strategy
  • Strategize with leaders across multiple functions, ensuring recommendations are strategically aligned
  • Ability to provide proactive recommendations and successfully resolve self-identified issues.
  • Regularly serve as the strategic lead on initiatives that impact multiple business or functional areas
Marketing Focus Area (Events & Sponsorships)
  • Develop, manage, and optimize event calendar in support of the bank's strategic priorities.
  • Serve as the lead on end-to-end event planning and management - from conceptualization to execution, including:

o Venue selection and booking

o Collaboration with internal Bank to identify attendees and track responses.

o On-Site Event Management - be physically on-site to set up, engage with guests and break down.

o Budget Adherence - stay within the agreed budget by tracking expenses, allocating funds wisely, and avoiding overspending.

o Evaluate event performance. Analyze and report back to the Bank on the success of the event in terms of guest feedback and business results.

  • Oversee promotional product vendors, ensuring sufficient inventory of apparel and giveaways, both through company storefront and on-hand items
  • Liaise with local Chambers of Commerce's throughout eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island to ensure the Bank takes advantage of all marketing activities associated with membership.
  • Organize, track and manage annual Chamber of Commerce memberships with internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and optimize a strategy to effectively identify/evaluate and take advantage marketing sponsorships/partnerships.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive Marketing experience
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Advanced strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence.
  • Adaptable and agile. Ability to pivot as priorities change.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistent attention to detail
  • Proven experience in event planning/event management
  • Ability to work nights/weekends/off-hours to cover scheduled events.
Senior Marketing Manager qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience
