Customer Marketing Manager

The Customer Marketing Manager will play a key role across Marketing and Sales to drive the growth of our CPG Client. They will aid in gaining new distribution, analyze POS and panel data to inform key strategic decisions, manage customer-specific promotions, and manage shopper marketing.
This role will be based in the Northern Virginia area.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop sell-in decks for sales team using customer specific data insights to create strong fact-based selling stories

Create and manage reports & executive dashboards to enable clear understanding of customer performance.

Develop and execute shopper marketing & trade strategies to maximize brand exposure and lift

Collaborate with brand marketing, sales, and retail partners to develop integrated marketing support to drive in-store conversion, optimize product placement, visibility, and promotion at retail locations

Work with design team to create and manage in-store marketing programs, including promotional displays, point-of-sale materials, and experiential activations

Coordinate and manage all aspects related to the company’s participation of multiple trade shows and other industry events annually

Aid in customer set up / paperwork – Portals, NIFS, Promotions, etc.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent analytical and data visualization skills with experience across POS & Panel data (i.e. IRI/Circana, Neilsen, SPINs, Numerator)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong understanding of shopper behavior and the CPG retail landscape

Experience and understanding working with sales, brokers, and customers with portals, new item paperwork

Passion for the CPG food industry and a creative mind for developing engaging in-store experiences

Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel skills

Curious

Able to work in a small, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

Able to handle multiple responsibilities

Hungry to contribute and learn
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA a plus

4+ years of experience in shopper and trade marketing or a relevant CPG role; Food & Beverage experience a plus

Experience building sales presentations that resulted in new distribution

Experience across ethnic grocery channels a big plus
Pay Range:

The combined pay range for this role is $95,000 - $100,000. Title and salary will be based on our assessment of skills and experience relevant to our needs for the role.
