Bloomberg News is seeking an editor to support its coverage of the private credit and leveraged finance markets.
You will work with an ambitious group of journalists to chronicle these increasingly important and evolving markets, with a particular focus on the financing deals that fuel everything from private equity buyouts to the growth of corporate upstarts. As part of your responsibilities, you would also help the team track existing and potential debt deals as well as the release of key market stats such as returns and default rates as well as private credit fundraising.

- Maintain a culture of urgency, innovation and strong news judgement
- Build influential relationships across the newsroom to get things done
- Demonstrate level-headedness and decisive leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic news environment
- Promote diversity of thought and representation throughout our coverage
- At minimum four years of experience in financial journalism or in leveraged finance or private credit
- Outstanding news judgement and strong editing skills
- A demonstrated ability to break down silos and communicate across teams, groups, platforms and regions
- A strong work ethic and solid organizational skills
- A deep understanding of leveraged finance, direct lending and/or asset-based finance
