Chief Development OfficerThe Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston (JCRC), JCRC is a coalition of organizations and individuals that represents and advances the values, interests, and priorities of the organized Jewish community in Greater Boston. Through our network of agencies, our programs, and our partnerships, we:Serve as a catalyst for building a strong and vibrant Jewish community in Boston and around the world;Advocate for a safe, secure, Jewish, and democratic state of Israel, and;Promote an American society which is democratic, pluralistic, and just.Overview of position: Reporting to the Chief Development Officer the Marketing and Communications Director sets strategic direction for and coordinates all communications for the organization. The position oversees JCRC’s website, press releases, social media, email marketing campaigns, and print media to ensure effective communication to donors, lay leaders, volunteers, and other stakeholders. The Marketing and Communications Director will develop measurable goals and impact across medica platforms.Please note that this is a hybrid position, working in the office Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remotely Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and implement a strategic vision for communications across all platforms and departments.Strategic partner on communications and marketing to our five current program areas: Government Affairs, Advocacy & Organizing; Literacy; Holocaust Awareness and Education; Israel Engagement; Combatting AntisemitismPartner with senior staff to determine and articulate JCRC’s responses to current events and opportunities for op-eds, interviews, etc.Work with CDO and external contractor to create a media strategy to elevate coverage of JCRC’s work.Manage JCRC communications staffWork with the CDO to build the capacity of the board to become excellent ambassadors of our brand and messaging.Create content that ensures JCRC remains a thought leader in Jewish community.Oversee production of print materials, digital media outreach, newsletters, donor communications, social media, special event collateral, and other content with a keen eye to brand and voice.COMMUNICATIONS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISEPrevious experience implementing a comprehensive communications plan that advanced a mission-driven organization’s goals and achieved measurable results.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
