Job DescriptionCommunity Health Systems is one of the nation's leading healthcare providers. CHS operates 71 acute-care hospitals and more than 1,000 other sites of care, including physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, occupational medicine clinics, imaging centers, cancer centers and ambulatory surgery centers.Summary

The Regional Marketing Director provides leadership and oversight in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies for multiple hospitals and their affiliated medical groups. The set of hospitals may be defined geographically and/or operationally and will likely span more than one state. The RMD position is a corporate role, but may be based in a market.Applying market knowledge and corporate guidelines, the RMD is responsible for overseeing marketing planning, advertising, community relations, some internal communications and other promotions for the hospitals and affiliated medical groups. The RMD will collaborate with hospital marketing directors, CEOs, the CHS marketing team and approved vendors to execute effective digital-first, multi-channel campaigns, including measurement and reporting. Most RMDs also have oversight of enterprise-wide marketing initiatives for an assigned service line.The RMD is part of an energetic, collaborative and results-oriented corporate marketing team that offers resources and expertise in a wide range of traditional, digital and interactive marketing and communications functions.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Collaborates with Corporate Marketing VPs, Regional Presidents, hospital executives and marketing leaders, corporate subject matter experts and approved marketing vendors in establishing and executing strategic marketing plansOversees assigned service line marketing initiatives, vendor management, strategic and creative development, execution and results reportingApplies knowledge and experience to ensure strong, actionable advertising and promotionsInfluences operations and service line colleagues to ensure optimal marketability and seamless patient pathwaysServes as the marketing expert for the facilities in the Region, with the ability to communicate marketing strategy with knowledge and conviction to stakeholdersDiligently seeks to measure and track ROI and KPIs related to marketing projectsManages established timelines to ensure projects progress in a timely mannerShares and leverages marketing content across all owned, paid and earned mediaStays abreast of overall hospital market share, service line market share, market dynamics and other data to help identify new growth strategiesGuides market research programs, when appropriate and approvedSupports, as needed, efforts of Community Connections to foster valuable community relations and partnerships on behalf of the hospital and in support of the hospital's growth initiatives and reputation managementOversees the marketing staff's tactics for website content management, social media engagement, online reputation management, internal and external communications, and community outreach.Remains aware of and compliant with all marketing-related guidelines and corporate policies related to communications, advertising and promotions, physician relations and other topics as applicableQualifications

This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills are necessary to support multiple and various projects, with attention to detail and informed prioritization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills that demonstrate the ability to identify and act on insights that drive business results. The position also requires the ability to build strong working relationships with a multitude of key stakeholders, such as corporate leaders, Regional operations leaders, hospital and practice leaders, service line experts and physicians. Local marketing directors may report to the Regional Marketing Director.Education/Experience:Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. Minimum 10-15 years direct marketing experience in healthcare; management experience.
