The Media Engineer is responsible for managing the post-production capable theaters on campus as well as the conference room and AV systems. Skydance seeks an individual passionate about movies, television, and gaming to ensure the presentations of that content are consistently at the highest quality.ResponsibilitiesMaintain an array of stakeholder screenings in the post-production capable screening room including a state of the art projection Atmos theater with diverse sources, color spaces, and settingsMaintain a wide variety of AV/Multi-Media/Video Tele-Conferencing solutions and standards including control systems, collaboration systems, and streamingCollaborate with other division’s Media Engineers to determine technology standards and staying abreast of Production’s needsWork with AV contractors in new product and process design plus improve existing onesInterpret facility and AV/MM drawings, specifications, and related documents from architects and AV contractorsManage daily activities of configuration and operation of AV/MM/VTC and provide preventative/remedial hardware maintenance supportAssist studio users with AV/MM/VTC systems and prepare presentation/review meetingsDocument hardware and software SOPsCode and design UI/UX for devicesAnalyze AV/MM/VTC systems and ensure designs are cost efficient, integrable, and reliableCommunicate with engineering personnel to coordinate interrelated design and assure project completionAnalyze hardware systems, design, architecture, and networkDevelop costing proposals with IT leadershipManage asset inventoryExecute AV/MM installation schedules based upon equipment delivery, integration complexity, and customer prioritiesRequirements3-5+ years of experience in an enterprise-level technology environment2+ years of experience supporting C-Suite executivesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesExcellent communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groupsAbility to tenaciously solve unfamiliar problemsAbility to read AV system drawingsExperience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk products, Zoom, Avid, Shotgun, Foundry Flix, and Animation/VFX applications a plusExperience in the Visual Effects, Animation, or media and entertainment industries a plusExperience with:

Screening rooms, collaborative media environments, video conference, and multi-site media-review systemsAnalog, SDI, and HD SDI signal processing and conversionScalable video coding, compression and decompression techniques, and encoding/decoding of TV standards such as ATSC, QAM, NTSC, PALCrestron environments and codeHD/SD broadcast equipment (switchers, cameras, etc.)Integration of audio and video teleconferencing systemsInstallation and maintenance of IP based televisionOperation of audio mixers and wired/wireless microphone systemsMust be able to:

Stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of timeClimb ladders and scaffoldingLift in excess of 50 poundsWork in high places and small cramped placesThe salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $60,000 – $80,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.
