Purpose:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing professional graphic design work as directed by the Director of Marketing and Enrollment.

Accountability:

Reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications **

FLSA Status:

Part-time, non-exempt (1 August 2024 to 30 October 2024) (15 hours a week)

Qualifications:

Must be a Christ-follower who upholds, in word and deed, the Hill Country Christian School of Austin’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.

Must faithfully attend a church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith of this school.

Experience in graphic design with a portfolio of projects is required.

Skills/Competencies:

Solid proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office or Google Suite applications

Great attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Strong personal motivation and initiative

Ability to work independently with little supervision

Responsibilities:

Complete graphic design for digital and print projects as assigned, including large-scale, small-scale, recurring, and one-off projects.

Design and assist with research and ordering promotional items, spirit gear, and club/team items.

Assist with brand and style management.

Create and update PowerPoint presentations for large school events and meetings.

Maintain an organized image database.

Complete special projects for the head of school as assigned.

Support PTF and Athletics Booster Club as assigned.

Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position the majority of the time using repetitive arm, hand, and finger movements.

Operates a computer the majority of the time and frequently a copy machine.

In-office, remote, or hybrid: Ability to work in a semi-open office setting with frequent in-person interaction and numerous interruptions, or work remotely.

Frequently communicates with co-workers and others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations, whether in person, via email, or via telephone.
