Not sure what skills you will need for this opportunity Simply read the full description below to get a complete picture of candidate requirements.You’ll be supervising a small team of graphic, data visualization and UI/UX designers on a chunky portfolio of projects (branding, education, editorial), generally serving as the lead designer. That’ll mean assuming a full-on leadership role on each project, overseeing it from conception to implementation and every stage in between. Some of these projects will represent complex design challenges, but with your team you’ll iterate smart solutions, which you’ll communicate by sketching low-fi prototypes to be shared with all contributors.That’s at the tactical level, but there’s also a hefty strategic/tone-setting element to your work: You’ll own the visual style guide (and of course make sure that projects adhere to the brand guidelines). More broadly, you’ll be developing, championing and fostering a scalable, user-centered, data-informed, agile design functions.As we established above, you are first and foremost a UX/UI designer to the core, with a good seven years’ experience working on cross-functional teams, during which you’ve developed an unparalleled understanding of design principles and tools: UI, Lean UX, sketches, flows, mid-fidelity interactions, Adobe CS, Sketch, HTML/CSS, and so on. You have a track record of producing the kind of arresting designs that make other designers slap their hands onto their foreheads and go, “Why didn’t I come up with that?”By now, you’ve also got significant experience supervising people, and have come to thrive on that kind of work. You pride yourself on your ability to nurture talent, to elicit collaboration and to inspire your reports to give their best efforts.
