Our client, a major Delaware law firm with a diverse business practice, is seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development to join their firm. The Director of Marketing and Business Development oversees and manages the execution of marketing and business development strategies and tactics for the firm, all partners, and all practices. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.The Director of Marketing and Business Development will join a talented senior management team comprised of experienced professionals from a variety of law firm backgrounds.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain an understanding of firm capabilities and competitive position.Advise and support partners and counsel on business development opportunities.Consult with Practice Group Leaders in the development of annual practice plans.Direct all aspects of firm sponsorships and events including client seminars, trade shows and receptions.Gather and coordinate information for rankings and awards submissions, as well as capabilities brochures.Coordinate with PR firm to develop media ideas, including story pitches and news releases.Oversee updates to the firm website for attorney bios, news items, events, and publications.Maintain the firm's social media presence to communicate the firm's accomplishments on behalf of clients, community involvement, and working life at the firm.Ensure consistency of firm's graphic identity in all media.Coordinate business development training programs.Manage content, design and distribution of electronic materials including client alerts, annual holiday ecard, announcements, and invitations.Develop and track annual marketing and business development plan and budget.REQUIREMENTS:BS/BA Degree required.Minimum seven years of law firm marketing and business development experience in a managerial role.Ability to travel by plane within the U.S. to support events and sponsorships.Exemplary writing and proofreading abilities.Solid computer skills, including experience utilizing CRM and related systems.Strong interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and handle competing demands.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate verbally and in writing in a professional, courteous manner with clients, firm members, and other business contacts.Ability to handle work well under pressure with a professional and positive attitude and meet strict deadlines.Flexibility to work additional hours, including early mornings and evenings, as necessaryJuno is an Equal Opportunity Employer that provides equal opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, genetic predisposition or carrier status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
