We're looking for a Product Designer to take charge of designing a cutting-edge product for our early-stage SaaS company. Your role will involve collaborating with the founding engineer team, product, sales, and customer success teams to establish a compelling UX that aligns with our existing product. With your expertise and creativity, you'll help define what success looks like in this new space and bring innovative solutions to the table.

About You

Have a portfolio that showcases your design process, thinking & execution (data visualizations, web app, and accessibility designs are a nice to haves)Strong understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and user-centered design methodologies while working with engineeringDemand a collaborative environment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities while navigating through the unknownDemand to understand customer’s needs with exceptional detail to design and test the success of your designsAre a solid communicator possessing strong presentation and verbal & written communication skillsWe are an early stage startup that needs a self-starter who actively seeks the “why” to embrace iterative development

What will you do?

Collaborate with the product team, customers, and stakeholders to understand user requirements, pain points, and expectationsCreate and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively address user needs and product requirementsCommunicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and specifics of the user-centered design processWork closely with the development team to define UX and UI requirements that create a consistent experience throughout the productContinuously seek to improve the product by staying up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologiesWith a keen eye for detail, ensure every aspect of the product's design is thoroughly considered to enhance the overall user experience in a data-driven setting

Requirements

Proven track record of original thinking and bringing innovative design solutions to the table with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environmentExpertise in creating visually appealing and intuitive UX/UI designs for complex data platforms, demonstrating a strong aesthetic sense and user-centric approach - Figma preferredSkilled in recognizing established design patterns for data-intensive environments and adept at identifying and solving complex workflow and system problemsSolid understanding of technical product aspects with a balanced approach to user research, enabling confident decision-making in evolving data management contextsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical teams and collaborate effectively across departmentsProficiency in designing solutions that effectively handle and visualize complex data, with a focus on clarity and user-friendly data presentation

Nice-to-have

Experience with data visualization tools such as D3.js, Tableau, or Power BIUnderstanding of data visualization best practicesFamiliarity with modern data engineering tools like Looker, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, SparkKnowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptA mix of in-house and agency experience
