Description Instructional Designer, Senior Associate Director will work collaboratively with Alzheimer's Association internal liaisons, leaders, faculty and Subject Matter Experts to develop education and training products and experiences to address learning gaps in dementia healthcare. Must have experience with learning management systems, and developing healthcare training in a variety of learning modality tools.

Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.The Instructional Designer performs a variety of instructional design functions related to the planning, development, delivery and assessment of courses. Works with instructional technology tools to design interactive learning content. Manages multiple projects, identifies scope and outcomes, motivates participants and leads product development to conclusion. May oversee other faculty and partners and their work. Researches instructional design theories and tools for applicability in learning and evaluates strategies for ongoing continuous improvement.

This position is remote and travel is up to 20%.

Essential Job Functions:

Works with SMEs to conduct education needs assessment, define course objectives and outcomes.

Develops curricula; Consult and apply advanced instructional design.

Develops or updates education products to be consistent with adult learning theory for delivery in online learning, hybrid courses, and face-to-face courses.

Confirms course objectives are current and reflected in newly developed courses.

Assists subject matter experts in defining course outcomes and objectives.

Designs and develops engaging, interactive, and instructionally sound materials that address various learning styles and are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.

Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats, including print, graphics, audio, video, animation, and multimedia, to support teaching, learning, and association education initiatives.

Collaborates with subject matter experts, team members, web developers, media specialists, digital media and producers to solve technological challenges.

Serves as a project manager for development of new education products

Utilizes digital tools for project management.

Manages the Learning Management System to ensure quality of course development, tools, test accessibility, and compliance.

Trains and supports internal liaisons in the use of the learning management system.

Learns new technologies and applications to assist course design.

Completes professional development to keep current with rapid changes in technology and education design standards

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required degree in instructional design, education, or a related field preferred

4+ years' experience performing duties and responsibilities as an instructional designer

Experience with an accreditation or credentialing organization

Thorough knowledge of: html, Articulate Presenter 9 or 13, Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Flash Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Collaboration Software (i.e. Google Docs, Zoho)

Experience providing instructional design support using Brightspace D2L, ETHOS, Blackboard, and/or CANVAS is preferred.

Experience in designing learning environments, for healthcare professionals

Practical experience translating learning outcomes into lessons and programs

Able to manage multiple projects and adhere to strict deadlines

Exemplary customer service approach in communicating with internal and external stakeholders

Skilled problem solver, with ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and heavy workloads

Self-directed, self-motivated team player

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; rigorous attention to detail

Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong editing and proofreading skills

Superior computer skills with competency in MS Office Suite, web-based applications, and constituent relationship management applications

Willingness to learn and to take on new challenges

Position Location: remote

Full time based on 37.5 hours per week minimum

Grade: 509 Exempt (Estimated Annual Salary $65,000 - $85,000)
