Key Duties:Responsible for collaborating with program management and engineering teams to create conceptualization and visualization drawings with a good sense of aesthetics, scale and user experienceDevelop basic manufacturing and industry knowledge of end user needs, processes, and design influencers to develop wide range of concepts within branding standardsResearch, suggest and select materials, finishes, components, to ensure product performance and help to identify cost savingsWork to understand and support the development of user experience and brand design standardsGenerate new ideas across multiple product categories with a focus on end-user needsInterface with internal contacts such as engineering, estimating, and program managementDesign within corporate product standards and development processAbility to create 2D and 3D drawings for product concepts that describe design intent and facilitate manufacturing processSupport all phases of Design to ensure projects run smoothly and target dates are metPerform other duties as assignedKey Requirements and Attributes:Position requires a Bachelor degree in Industrial Design, or related technical degree0-2 years of experience in industrial designAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formEffectively communicate information and respond to questions from managers, representatives, suppliers, and customersPractical problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to think on your feet, react and problem-solve quicklyPlan and organize tasks and complete by agreed upon deadlinesGood visual skills, critical judgment of form and visual detailPresentation and computer rendering skills that illustrate design intent and user experienceUnderstanding of common manufacturing processesSoftware ProficienciesProficient in Corel Draw (Primary Design Package), Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoshopWorking knowledge of 3D modeling – Sketchup and/or Solidworks
