Full Time In-OfficeRole Overview:As a Technical Design Assistant, you will support our senior fashion designer and technical designer in various technical design activities. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry, working closely with our experienced design team.Key Responsibilities:Assist in creating technical design packages, including detailed technical sketches and specifications.Help to measure and record product specifications.Aid in managing the sample process, including ordering, tracking, reviewing, and commenting on samples.Supporting the design team during fittings.Locating, storing, and organizing fabrics and swatches.Collaborate with the design team to execute design concepts.Conduct market research to understand trends, materials, and techniques.Support in preparation of presentation materials for line reviews and design meetings.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.Qualifications:Recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.Strong interest in and understanding of fashion, technical design, trends, and the design process.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Attention to detail, with a strong interest in technical design.Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.Pattern making skills are a plus.At Veiled, we value diversity and inclusivity, and we thrive on learning from each other's experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives.
