Description
The Brand Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining the look and feel of Elephant & Co., Eastern Market Brewing Co.'s latest venture focused on PIZZA & BEER, along with its family of companies, including Eastern Market Brewing Co., Ferndale Project, and Dooped Donuts. We're looking for someone who lives our values of Being Intentional, Staying Scrappy, and Spreading Kindness and works to represent them in everything we do. This role also requires the flexibility to differentiate each of our brands to target our customers and differentiate them from competitors.
This position will report directly to our Founder to help bring the company's strategies to life. The scope of work includes all creative and design concepts, including, but not limited to, product labels, print materials, social media graphics, advertising design, and social media copywriting.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Development:
Develop and maintain the visual identity of our brands, ensuring consistency across all platforms and materials.Develop brand guidelines, including color palettes, typography, logo usage, and imagery.Graphic Design:
Create authentic, customer-centric designs, including packaging, labels, posters, social media graphics, website elements, and merchandise.Design marketing materials such as sell sheets, point-of-sale (POS) materials, advertising and promotion design, print and digital media, and internal event flyers/promotion.Produce label renders, ensure organized file management, and manage print production.Digital Media:
Develop compelling visuals for our website, social media channels, and digital advertising.Ensure all digital assets are optimized for performance and user experience.Maintain, organize, name, and archive all pictures/videos for creative use.Collaboration:
Work closely with leaders to design and execute advertising campaigns, email newsletters, and promotional content.Collaborate with the product development team to create packaging designs that reflect the unique character of each beer.Stay up to date with design trends both in the beverage and creative industries.Requirements
A bachelor's degree with two or more years of equivalent design experience.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design styles and projects.Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.Experience with web design and familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
