Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a cleared UX Designer sitting local to NW, Washington, DC supporting a large government customer. This individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:

Mockup and test software interfaces.

Work on various projects as needed/determined by priorities. They will embed within teams to provide UX expertise and guidance, but report to our CTO.

Test prototypes of solutions with real people, in the field if possible

Document findings about user goals, needs, behaviors, and preferences.

Share findings with the team and agency leadership.

Create a prioritized list of tasks the user is trying to accomplish, also known as "user stories."

As the digital service is being built, regularly test it with potential users to ensure it meets peoples needs.

Bring/build accessibility methods throughout the process and development of product.

Skills and Requirements

Must be proficient in the use of modern design software, like Figma.

Experience drafting usability testing plans and conducting usability testing sessions.

Able to lead draft a user research plan and execute on it.

Use a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to determine peoples goals, needs, and behaviors.

Familiar and able to design interfaces in line with the US Web Design Standards.

Must be able to champion/advocate for human-centered design processes and best practices both on the projects and at scale.

Experience serving as a design expert and leading/guiding development, internal, and contracted teams; able to make sure users are at the forefront of decision-making. null
