Job Description: Ryan Companies is looking for a creative, innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking Senior Interior Designer who aims for the highest standards of excellence to join our healthcare team in Minneapolis! This individual will be responsible for creating extraordinary design solutions and inspiring design excellence. Ryan Companies uses a unique integrated delivery process that involves architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management, and capital markets. Ryan's integrated process requires an individual to be able to work in a proactive and positive manner in tandem with local teams and cross-regionally within a national design practice. Some things you can expect to do: Work in tandem with Client, Project Architect, Design Project Manager, Designer, Development, Construction, and Consultants to develop documentation for coordination and construction Lead the development of an interior design vision on projects and ensure the vision is maintained through all phases of design and construction Lead team of Interior Designers through the project delivery process of complex projects Manage and coordinate a complete and thorough set of Interior design documents to meet project goals, milestones and schedule Lead all phases of the Interiors project scope from programming to construction administration, with specific attention to interior related building codes, interior detail documentation and constructability. Lead development and implementation of an overall design palate that supports the aesthetic, budget, and functional goals of the project Advise client on appropriate finish and material selections. Leads design meetings, consultant meetings and project team meetings Collaborate with healthcare project team and clients during programming and planning efforts Provide guidance to Interior Design team members on unusual or complex technical issues Research and lead interior design code reviews Identify and communicate deviations in interior project scope to client and Construction Attend project interviews and participate in business development Ensure firm and project goals of design excellence, execution and sustainability Direct, supervise, and mentor staff Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will be able to problem-solve and design both as part of a collaborative team and independently. Candidates with at least 10 years of healthcare-specific experience are most likely to be successful, however those with unique career experience or display clear potential for the role will be considered. Interior Design licensure and relevant professional work experience in healthcare design, including the design of acute care, ambulatory care, medical office buildings, laboratory, and pharmacy are required. You must also have a strong a knowledge of building regulations, Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI), safety codes, and ability to research and incorporate into technical documents. Advanced knowledge of healthcare interiors & design concepts, practices, and methods is required. You must be proficient in Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite. You will really stand out if you have: A professional interior design degree LEED AP and/or WELL AP certification EDAC, CHID or other healthcare accreditation Eligibility: Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Certain positions and locations require COVID-19 vaccination, subject to reasonable accommodations for valid medical or sincerely held religious reasons. Compensation: The base pay is $89,200 - $111,500 per year. The annual base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
