The Design Manager is responsible for sketching, color CADS, tech packs, print surface design and development of prototypes with a concentration in Men's Sweaters, Knits, and Bottoms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Conduct market research to identify new trends, and techniques with the aim to better understand the competitive landscape and create opportunities for growthUsing Adobe Illustrator to articulate product detail execution of color, proportion, scale, style and a level of taste for men's apparelResponsible for supporting the design process from concept to final design submissionCreate and maintain product tech packs in the PLM system on Sweaters, Knits, and BottomsMaintain database of existing designs and help load and manage these images in PLMCommunicate with factories and mills as needed to ensure accurate sample executionUpdate linesheets on Adobe InDesign to distribute internallyManage the organization and maintenance of the prototype, mill card, and color card libraryDevelop all surface design print artwork for Crown, Crown Sport, and Crafted Knits and SwimCommunicate with the production department and factories to ensure production is executed properlyAnalysis on Excel to demonstrate best sellers, worst sellers, retail price points, wholesale price points, wholesale margins, retail mark-ups, and category penetrationsCOMPETENCIES:

Exceptional skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, PLM, and ExcelOutstanding time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and prioritiesMotivated, self-starter on projectsAccurate organizational methods with a strong attention to detailStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors and clientsDESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in related field1-3 years' experience in a Design position
