Our Private Label Swimwear division is seeking an experienced, well-rounded

Design Intern

who has an excellent eye for trends and fabric and is a multitasker who thrives in a fast-moving environment.

Our NYC based Internship offers opportunities to learn about Li & Fung and have hands on work experience, learning from our business leaders sharing their invaluable experience and industry knowledge. Our ideal candidates are smart, hard-working, goal-oriented, creative thinkers and willing to commit to every level of participation. This is a full-time, paid internship in our LF Markets USA division.

Roles and Responsibilities:Research retail market for trends in theme, fabric, wash, trim, and style.Flat sketching in IllustratorCreation of tech packs with basic knowledge of garment constructionWork with designers to create original embroideries and allover prints in Photoshop/illustratorCollaborate with designers to create seasonal trend reports to present to new and current customersHelp to manage fabric libraryKeep showroom and design room organizedAssisting designers in day-to-day tasks and responsibilitiesSkills & Requirements:

Team player with a passion for Design & DevelopmentAbility to work independentlyAnalytical skills and strong decision-making capabilitiesExcellent communication skillsAbility to set priorities and handle multiple tasks
