Our work spans a range of market sectors and project types including some of the most prominent finance, technology, media & entertainment, corporate, education, government, hospitality, and not-for-profit clients in the U.S. and abroad.The Switzer Group is looking for an Experiential Graphic Designer to join our Brand Design team in New York office. We are looking for an outstanding intermediate level designer with 6 - 8 years of full-time professional experience providing experiential graphic design, wayfinding, signage, environmental graphics and promotional infographics for our workplace clients within corporate or retail environments. Our ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, energetic, and an all-around team player.Position ResponsibilitiesStrong branded environments, signage and wayfinding experience, including knowledge of materials and fabrication methods.Conducts in-depth research for design projects and creates presentation material for the clients.Develops key narratives, and design concepts with strong typographic sense and attention to detail during concept design and design development phases through creating 2D and 3D visualization boards, and illustration.Presents design narratives and concepts to team.Develops and manages design documents and presentations from project kick-off through closeout, with oversight from the Brand Design Director.Conducts quality control of all documents and deliverables prior to issue and/or presentation, both internally and client-facing.Provides Brand Director Director opportunity to review all final deliverables for final quality control prior to issue.Prepares bid documents and production-ready artwork.Participates in reviewing graphic layouts, mock-ups and prototypes, and production ready artwork with oversight from the Brand Design Director.Conducts project punch-lists and produces punch-list reports, as required.Develops information graphics and marketing promotional material.QualificationsUndergraduate or graduate degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design or related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience with Experiential Graphic Design (EGD) projects including branded environments, wayfinding systems, signage, environmental graphics and illustrations.Exhibit design or product design experience in space is a plus.Excellent project management experience with project scope, scheduling, and adhering to budgets,Thorough knowledge of Adobe CC (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).Thorough knowledge of creating and editing fabrication documents in scale.3D modeling and design programs (SketchUp, Rhino, Revit) is desired.ADA and building code knowledge/experience for signage design is required.A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to develop cohesive concepts and narratives, strong typographic sense, and attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to clearly communicate design process and concepts with clients, fabricators, and other team members.Efficient time management and effective organizational skills for managing multiple projects at any given time.Ability to collaborate with team members and other disciplines.Passionate about art and design and brings outside experience, interests and inspiration to our team and projects.The Switzer Group is an EEO / AA Employer: M/F/Disabled/Veteran.
