Please click here to review our Applicant Privacy Policy.HOW WE TAKE CARE OF YOU:For full-time employees, Health, Dental, Vision, 401K with generous matching program, generous paid time off.Potential Annual Bonus Opportunity.50% discount at restaurants and retail locations.Career advancement opportunities as we are growing!For more benefit-related information please click HERE.Please cut and paste this URL into a new browser to view our detailed list of benefits or apply directly on our career sitehttps://www.tommybahama.com/content/dam/tommy/Career%20pages/Tommy_Bahama_Benefits_Final_WA.pdfSET THE COURSETo create a line of apparel that is attractive to the Tommy Bahama customer, and to work with a team of designers and other staff to ensure the quality of the products is world-class.BE THE ISLAND GUIDEUnderstand the Tommy Bahama guest and execute high-quality products with attention to detail and a strong customer focus.Has an elevated aesthetic.Fully responsible for all aspects of the entire product design process including market research, mood board creation, designing, sketching, and fit.Research aspirational and competitive markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, and fabrics within the denim & outerwear category each season.Research and Develop trend right fabric, trims, and branding each season consistent with customer aesthetics.Develops yarn dyes, embroideries, engineers and graphic layouts where appropriate.Prepare presentation boards with sketches, inspiration, fabrication, and washes for internal milestone meetings.Work closely with the Design Director & VP of Design to execute against seasonal concepts and build out a compelling assortment.Work with technical designers to create thorough tech packs and achieve well-executed fits.Develop design elements of the garment tech pack - including BOM, Design Sketches and Sketch Details.Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with Materials, PD, and merch teams to ensure collaborative line assortment building each season.Presents product category to merchants, sales, and other company audiences at milestone meetings.Ability to manage multiple seasons and deliverables at one time while tracking development deadlines.Manage assistant designer and direct workflow as assigned.Manages assigned category deliverables for seasonal line lists, product knowledge and fabric selling features.Other duties as required and that may occasionally be necessary to support the business.ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISEDegree in Fashion Design7+ years' experience in women's design (casual sportswear background preferred)Previous experience designing denim & outerwear categoriesSophisticated taste levelProficient knowledge of the Adobe Suite / Illustrator requiredExperience with the apparel design process from concept to productAbility to follow through on multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong time management skillsUnderstanding Tommy Bahama guests. Ability to creatively design for this market.Organizational skills.
