Senior Graphic Designer

to join our team. The Senior Graphic Designer will create websites, designs, images, informational graphics, illustrations, briefings, and animation, including typography, visual concepts, Internet designs, interactive platforms, and documentation. The Senior Graphic Designer will develop, design, and edit all multimedia products, including videos, audio files, and motion graphic designs for websites and social media. They will also prepare drafts, present ideas, amend designs, and ensure that designs communicate desired messages and function properly. They will maintain a reusable and searchable indexed repository of artifacts and work with other staff on collaborative efforts, such as Curriculum and Communications tasks. They will ensure all content aligns with brand standards and is 508 compliant.Preferred location: National Capital RegionThis position is contingent upon award.Responsibilities:Develop graphics prototypes and supporting marketing materialsUse Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to produce professional marketing graphics, including but not limited to infographics, one-pagers, and flyersUtilize client and internal feedback to create and revise graphics deliverables quicklyCoordinate with managers to create training sessions to cross-train other team members and outside teams in PowerPoint and other graphic design best practicesSupport products for other workstreams, as requiredEnsure alignment of style, branding, and other graphical norms across multiple products and modalities for a consistent product suite.Proactively track and communicate project status with the supervisor, including potential mitigation strategies for when risks jeopardize deliverable timelinesDeliver all final deliverables and intermediate drafts on time and accuratelyAttend internal coordination meetings as needed to present relevant updates in a factual, concise mannerRequirements:Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)4 Years of experienceProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePointExpert in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, PhotoshopWorking familiarity with project management software such as Asana (or Jira, Smart Sheets, etc.)Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust ClearanceRequired Skills:Strong written and oral communication skillsWorks well with tight deadlines and adaptable to evolving prioritiesDynamic team player who is a flexible, self-starter with strong attention to detailFollows established workflow and naming convention proceduresDemonstrates empathy while ensuring that stakeholder requirements are consistently metManages details in deliverable production, customer interaction and action trackingCommunicates with others in an effective and polite mannerAssumes ownership and responsibility for assigned actions and/or tasksGovernment contracting experienceDesired Skills:Government contracting experienceDoD and VA experience as a contractor or otherwiseFormer military experienceBenefits:Performance BonusesMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) Plan (Traditional and ROTH)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off11 Federal HolidaysParental LeaveCommute BenefitsShort Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness ProgramCommunity Outreach InitiativesCATHEXIS is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
